How does NOSPAM AUTHORITY stop spam?
NOSPAM AUTHORITY's unique email verification system ensures you'll only
receive the email you need and none of the annoying, time-wasting
mail you don't!
Can I protect my existing email address?
NOSPAM AUTHORITY is the only service that can effectively protect
your existing email address from spam. All you need to do is to
forward your mails to the new NO SPAM account.
How does email verification work?
NOSPAM AUTHORITY's verification system accepts email ONLY from known
senders. When NOSPAM AUTHORITY receives an email from an address
or domain not on your Allowed' list, a verification request
is sent asking the sender to verify themselves.
It requires the sender to simply reply to the verification request,
which automatically places them on your Allowed' list. Once
the sender's address is on this list, they can email you as they
normally would. The advantage is that you receive email ONLY from
allowed senders.
What makes NOSPAM AUTHORITY's email verification better?
Currently, spam prevention relies on filtering techniques. These
methods are ineffective and can potentially identify legitimate
email as spam. NOSPAM AUTHORITY's verification system ensures you'll only
receive the email you want.
Do I need to use another email address?
No. NOSPAM AUTHORITY will protect all your email accounts against spam.
When you sign up, you receive a NOSPAM AUTHORITY.com email address. You
can choose to use this address or your existing email addresses.
How does it work with my current email address?
Simply forward your emails to your NOSPAM AUTHORITY accountwhere
it will apply the email verification process to all messages. You
can then access your legitimate email through NOSPAM AUTHORITY's
site using any web browser (I.E, Netscape), or any POP email client
(Outlook, Eudora etc) by making a simple change to your server settings.
Can I protect my ISP email accounts against spam?
Yes. All you need to do is forward all your emails to NOSPAM AUTHORITY
account.
Am I protected from downloading viruses from the Net?
No. NOSPAM AUTHORITY only checks your email for viruses. Viruses can be
downloaded via websites, instant messaging and file transfers. For
your protection, you should still use your desktop anti-virus software.
What is the Allowed Sender List?
This is the list of addresses (or domains) that have been verified
as legitimate. Addresses can be added to this list either manually,
by selecting to automatically add a recipient's address when sending
email, or by the sender responding to a verification request. Addresses
can be easily removed from your list.
What is the Blocked Sender List?
This is the list of addresses (or domains) from which you will not
receive email. Senders can only be added manually by you. Emails
received from addresses on this list are deleted instantly without
a request for verification being sent. Addresses can be easily removed
from your list.
What is the Pending Verification List?
This is email that has been sent to you, but is not from a sender
on your Allowed Sender list. It is currently being blocked from
entering NOSPAM AUTHORITY's network as it is pending verification. You
can move any of these addresses to your Allowed Sender list. Pending
emails which are not successfully verified, or placed on your Allowed
Sender list will be removed after 7 days.
What happens when I am expecting an email receipt?
The simplest way to ensure you receive it is to visit your Pending
Verification List and manually add it to your Allowed Sender List.
Emails will be removed from the Pending Verification List after
7 days.
What happens with my newsletters?
To ensure you keep receiving them and don't miss an issue, you can
manually add the address or domain of the newsletter to your Allowed
Sender list.
Why did I receive an email from an address not on my Allowed
Sender List?
This is probably because NOSPAM AUTHORITY accepts email from null
<> senders to remain compliant with Internet standards. You
can avoid this happening by visiting the Advanced Options under
Options and selecting "Do not accept email from <>".
Compliance with the standard will be maintained with this option
selected, as long as you use NOSPAM AUTHORITY for both your inbound
and outbound server.
